Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2-3 cloves
  • 1 star anise
  • 1 oz espresso
  • 3 oz pisco or grappa

Instructions

  1. In a small pot, combine the milk, sugar, cinnamon, cloves, and star anise.
  2. Heat the mixture over medium heat until it reaches a gentle simmer, stirring constantly for about 10 minutes or until the sugar dissolves.
  3. Add the espresso and continue heating for 1 more minute.
  4. Remove from heat, stir in the pisco or grappa.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a jar and chill before serving.
