Ingredients

  • 1 large very fresh farm egg
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
  • Garnish: fresh grated nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Carefully separate the egg yolk from the white and refrigerate the egg white.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the egg yolk and sugar until smooth.
  3. Slowly whisk in the milk and cream. Set aside.
  4. In another medium bowl, whisk the egg white until two-thirds of the mixture is frothy.
  5. Stir the frothy egg white mixture into the yolk mixture and discard the remaining one-third egg white mixture.
  6. Garnish with a sprinkle of fresh grated nutmeg.
  7. Store sealed in a glass jar in the refrigerator for up to 1 day. Shake the jar before mixing the cocktails.
