Highland Frothy Eggnog

Ingredients
- 1 large very fresh farm egg
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 6 tablespoons whole milk
- 2 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
- Garnish: fresh grated nutmeg
Instructions
- Carefully separate the egg yolk from the white and refrigerate the egg white.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the egg yolk and sugar until smooth.
- Slowly whisk in the milk and cream, and set aside.
- In another medium bowl, whisk the egg white until it becomes frothy.
- Stir two-thirds of the frothy egg white mixture into the yolk mixture and discard the remaining one-third.
- Garnish with fresh grated nutmeg.
- Store sealed in a glass jar in the refrigerator for up to 1 day. Shake the jar before mixing cocktails.
