Ingredients

  • 1/2 tangerine, peeled and cut in 2
  • 3 large mint leaves
  • 1/2 oz. agave simple syrup
  • 3/4 oz. passionfruit syrup
  • 1 oz. lime juice
  • 1 1/2 oz. tequila
  • 1/2 oz. Suze gentian liqueur
  • 1-2 barspoons prepped chia seeds for garnish
  • Fresh mint sprig for garnish
  • Montelobos mezcal (in a mist bottle)

Instructions

  1. Place the tangerine, mint, and agave simple syrup in an empty cocktail shaker.
  2. Gently muddle to extract the tangerine juice and release the mint's flavor without over-mashing.
  3. Add all the remaining ingredients to the cocktail shaker, except for the garnish.
  4. Fill the shaker with ice and shake thoroughly.
  5. Strain the mixture into a rocks glass filled with ice.
  6. Sprinkle 1-2 barspoons of prepped chia seeds on top.
  7. Garnish with a fresh mint sprig and mist the cocktail with 1 pump of mezcal.
