Ingredients

  • 9 oz bourbon
  • 3 oz amaretto
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/8 tsp ground cloves
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 4 cups whole milk
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 6 eggs, separated into yolks and whites
  • 1/3 cup salted bourbon butterscotch sauce
  • 1/8 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the egg yolks, salted bourbon butterscotch sauce, and salt until smooth.
  2. Add the whole milk, heavy whipping cream, nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves, and vanilla extract to the bowl. Whisk the mixture until smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl with a standing mixer or using a hand mixer, whip the egg whites with 1/4 cup of sugar until soft peaks form, which should take around 8-10 minutes.
  4. Gently fold the whipped egg whites into the cream mixture until smooth.
  5. Chill the mixture until cold, then serve it in a punch bowl with the bourbon and amaretto. Alternatively, you can serve it in individual glasses, pouring 0.75 oz of bourbon and 0.25 oz of amaretto into each glass. Top with a sprinkle of freshly grated nutmeg.
