Scotch Bonnet Pineapple Tepache Margarita
A refreshing and unique margarita made with homemade pineapple tepache, tequila, and a touch of spice.
Ingredients
- 1.50 oz white tequila
- 0.75 oz Cointreau
- 3 fresh limes, juiced
- 0.50 oz simple syrup
- Pineapple tepache (fermented pineapple drink)
- 2 slices of fresh pineapple, for garnish
- Ice cubes
Instructions
- Start by preparing the tepache: Combine sugar, water, pineapple peel, and Scotch bonnet chili, then ferment for 24-36 hours.
- Once the tepache is ready, strain and refrigerate.
- In a cocktail shaker, combine ice, tepache, tequila, Cointreau, lime juice, and simple syrup.
- Shake vigorously and strain into two glasses.
- Garnish each glass with a slice of fresh pineapple.
