Ingredients
- 1 cup Reposado Tequila
- 1 jalapeño, sliced
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup water
- 2 cups raspberries, fresh or frozen
- Lime wedges
- Tajin seasoning or kosher salt
- 2 ounces jalapeño-infused tequila
- 2 ounces lime juice (about 2 limes, squeezed)
- 2 ounces Raspberry Syrup
Instructions
- To infuse the tequila, add sliced jalapeños to the tequila and let it sit at room temperature for at least 3 hours for a spicier flavor profile.
- In a medium saucepan, combine sugar and water, then add the raspberries. Heat over medium heat and bring to a simmer until the raspberries are falling apart, approximately 5 minutes.
- Once cooked, remove from heat and allow the mixture to cool slightly. Strain and chill completely.
- Prepare the cocktail glass by rimming it with a lime wedge and dipping it in Tajín. Fill the glass with ice.
- In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine tequila, lime juice, and raspberry syrup. Shake vigorously for 30 seconds.
- Strain the cocktail into the prepared glass and serve with an additional lime wedge if desired. ¡Salúd!
