Ingredients

  • 1 cup Reposado Tequila
  • 1 jalapeño, sliced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cups raspberries, fresh or frozen
  • Lime wedges
  • Tajin seasoning or kosher salt
  • 2 ounces jalapeño-infused tequila
  • 2 ounces lime juice (about 2 limes, squeezed)
  • 2 ounces Raspberry Syrup

Instructions

  1. To infuse the tequila, add sliced jalapeños to the tequila and let it sit at room temperature for at least 3 hours for a spicier flavor profile.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine sugar and water, then add the raspberries. Heat over medium heat and bring to a simmer until the raspberries are falling apart, approximately 5 minutes.
  3. Once cooked, remove from heat and allow the mixture to cool slightly. Strain and chill completely.
  4. Prepare the cocktail glass by rimming it with a lime wedge and dipping it in Tajín. Fill the glass with ice.
  5. In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine tequila, lime juice, and raspberry syrup. Shake vigorously for 30 seconds.
  6. Strain the cocktail into the prepared glass and serve with an additional lime wedge if desired. ¡Salúd!
